Current research
Caribbean hard corals are decreasing in size and cover and yet octocorals are increasing in abundance. Why? We believe failed recruitment in hard corals and abundant recruitment in octocorals is the reason and I survey and design experiments to test that hypothesis.
Previous research
Before my current position, I was a graduate researcher at the University of Washington and at the University of New Hampshire. At both universities, I primarily focused on sea anemone ecology.
